Open mail to the RetroVision Media crew:

This is an official hooky day for all those who wish to participate. As you know I have been fired from many places of employment for just this type of irresponsible behavior, but I am sure this is precisely why you have so loyally associated yourselves with me. For those scattered about the country, feel free to do whatever you want. For those here in New York we are considering a limited shopping spree in Westchester at Syms or a cheap lunch near Battery Park at Chipotle with some of their margaritas for a ferry ride to Staten Island. While there, we can get that stock footage we’ve needed for awhile.

No matter what we choose, the idea is to get the hell out of the studio and enjoy this beautiful weather day in New York.

As far as the president’s “Big Jobs Summit”, we can write that crap up tomorrow. As far as the analysis of the expected fallout from the president’s Afghan War speech, it is better to wait for the spin cycle to finish since Secretary Gates, Clinton and Adm. Mullen are still on Capital making their case for President Obama’s escalation.

Since the data from NATO’s Secretary General Anders Rasmussen is already in, we have everything we need to close this season early. If there is anything we missed or if something earthshaking pops up we can easily throw together a supplemental.

Have a good, fun filled and stress free day and we’ll see everybody back online tomorrow.
