Issues Under Fire: Condi’s On The Down-low Trip To Kirkuk, Bush Economic Fantasies & Torture Definition Need Badly

While Secretary Rice sneaked into Kirkuk Baghdad yesterday in an effort to bolster positive surge outcomes in Iraq, the White House shoved President Bush in front of a bank of microphones Monday to make a whitewashing pitch for the condition of the economy. The administration wants to shine up the nation’s image prior to the holiday break in order to keep the over the turkey conversations focused on football and not the price of home heating oil, the lack of affordable healthcare, illegal aliens driving down wages while driving up cost for local municipalities, foreclosure notices waiting in the mail box with a looming recession ready to greet America early in the first quarter of 08.

The White House can’t in good conscience send the nation their usual fear mongering, homeland security, the Iranian, Al Quesada, boogiemen’s gonna gitcha, cards because those Grinch bastards at the National Intelligence Board gave the nation their Iran don’t have enough high grade plutonium to blow their own noses N.I.E Report card first.

We think White House officials will have to settle for a “hey look Ma,” Condi in Baghdad with no flack jacket; and hold off letting recently confirmed Attorney General Michael Mukasey from clearly defining the technique of waterboarding. That is the best they can break off America right now.

If in fact, the current bipartisan demand for an investigation into the destroyed CIA interrogation tapes determine waterboarding was the means used to extract information, leading to the convictions of captives, then not only will those convictions be suspect, but the interrogators themselves may be called into question, along with everyone up the line that sanctioned and or authorize said techniques.

Should the above be the case, we could and should have belated war crime invitation cards printed up for all parties concerned.

With the types of blunders and countless failed strategies this administration has found its self defending since it stole the first election in 2000, it is apparent these folks are great at hardball and checkers but they are probably wouldn’t know a chess piece from a poker chip. Issue Under Fire: Clinton Camp Savages Obama With Help From MSNBC

The Clintons, clearly disappointed with the support and boost Barack Obama received this weekend past from Oprah Winfrey, went on the attack through political surrogates and their media flunkies at MSNBC to savage the Illinois Senator over admitted past drug use. While staying above the fray, Hillary’s people let it be known that she is the best pick to beat the Republicans in 08, as the Republicans would undoubtedly use Obama’s past drug transgressions against him.

MSNBC’s Joe “tongue kissing cousins” Scarborough, Mika “the bewildered liberal” Brzezinski, Willie “the Punk Ass” Geist, David “”the wannabe shyster” Shuster along with political hack Pat “I am proud to admit my forefathers were slave owners” Buchanan, tag teamed to batter and damage Obama’s imaged for an entire segment, all under the guise of Hillary ;is far enough ahead in the national polls not to have to stoop so low.

When this bought and paid for media trash finished with Barack in their slick backhanded stabbing of his character, the image they intentionally left America with was a doo-rag wearing, topless & tattooed, blue/red gangster hankie hanging out his back pocket, dope dealer, selling crack in the school yard. It was the most professional political sliming of a credible presidential candidate we have witnessed thus far.

We knew tactics were going to get ugly, but we were caught off guard how ugly and how soon. Apparently those in the Clinton camp along with the media and moneyed powers are feeling the tide flowing toward real change and can no longer count on the cultivated, Aunt Jemima/Uncle Tom vote they thought they had locked up when Bill Clinton set up shop amongst the natives in Harlem, whilst Hillary headed upstate to soak the coffee clutch crew for cash.
We think everybody should be forced to take the drug test, if that is the way this filthy game called politics is going to be played.
Hence, if nobody has asked if Hillary Clinton ever smoked a joint, snorted a line of blow or for that matter, was a virgin on her wedding night with big Bill; we are doing it now. Why should those questions not be asked of her? Clearly this would shed light into her moral character. And, if not a virgin for her honeymoon, how many pre-marital dalliances did occur?

For that matter, does oral sex count as real sex before marriage? We already know how Bill would answer the oral sex question, but since Hillary is all fired up about turning up the heat on everybody else we thought turnabout is fair play.

Some may think us rude and off base to develop such crude imagery of the first female president giving head, but when a women candidate engages in the blatantly unfair character assignation by proxy to maintain a shrinking lead, she looses the protections a gentleman generally affords a lady. But by now America knows, that’s no lady, that’s Bill Clinton’s wife.

The unfortunate lesson the nation is learning from this scum slinging campaign is, it don’t pay to be honest. Click here to download or on air to stream

Oh my goodness, we for got to mention our movies for today. We got the Crime Boss starring Telly Savalas and The Sell Out Starring Richard Widmark

And last but not least, we got another episode of Phillip Marlowe for you called The Black Halo. All that and more is pack in a 45 min podcast for your pleasure.

But we would have provided you with nothing, if we failed to include our daily double B movie features. Our first is a kick ass karate classic starring Sonny Chiba called Death of a Ninja. A master ninja has to avenge his girl friend against a group of evil demons for putting her head on another woman. Click here to download or on photo to stream.

Issue Under Fire: Fingers Are Point Up In CIA Interrogation Tape Trashing

Fingers are beginning to point in all directions over the recent revelations of the destroyed CIA interrogation video tapes. As the heat begins to rise on anyone even remotely involved in the “high value” detainee interrogations process or the discussions of what to do with any and all documentation; which now can viewed evidence is probably shaking shitless over the prospect of future war crimes charges.

This is tough stuff, when our government is caught with it’s collective pants down on an issue as ugly torture at a time when the nations is taking one major blow to its character after another. More and more we look like a bunch of thugs and gangsters marauding through the world determined to strike fear in the hearts and minds of anyone even thinking of opposing us after 9/11.

Things were rough after the Twin Towers went down and perhaps the nation as a whole went a little nuts in the immediate aftermath to satisfy the public’s thirst for some legitimate payback. Maybe that is how we went to war in Iraq with the blessings from a majority of congress signing on.

Maybe the country was ripe for a fight. A fight with anybody, just as long as we responded and responded quickly heavy-handedly and victoriously. Well we got two out of the three right.
However, we are losing the most important battle of all, the battle for respect. We have clearly went to far in exacting our pound of flesh and are forced now to hide behind keeping the definition of harsh interrogation techniques as blurred as possible to avoid to charges of war crimes against our government leaders at all levels.

This country is simply looking at the results of a lynch mob mentality that overtook rational thought, laced with a strong dose of fear and lies. We as a country lost our heads with anger and looked the other way when we saw and heard of people being treated unjustly just because looked like they were Middle Eastern. We were all a part of the madness. It is hard to say whether our congress show little spine when the time came to assess the treat to this country sensibly or they had just lost their heads like everybody else did.

Now that things have somewhat settled down and we have a chance to look at the facts, many are wondering what the hell did we do, what the hell were we thinking or were we thinking at all? In the heat of the moment, we leaked CIA names for payback, we went to war in the wrong country and fought that war incompetently, we set up private prisons world wide, we started spying on our own citizens, we grabbed people off the streets, hid them in strange countries and beat the hell out of them, while denying them access to legal representation, or even charging them with any crimes. And all that was apparently okay. But is that who we want to be seen as? Is that who America is in wartime? If so, how do we get back to the America pre-9/11? Or, were we ever really the vision the world had of America pre-9/11?

There is one sure fire way to find out what America stands for and what it won’t stand for; let those or force responsible, no matter how far up the chain of command the responsibility goes, stand up and acknowledge the vast mistakes. Nothing short of that will do.

The second most powerful action the country can take to repair this fall from world grace is to vote for the candidate that exudes a fresh start a new beginning an open mind a willingness to talk and the strength to admit to the world that we F-D Up !

Hillary Is Hating, Obama Is Basking, Huckabee Is Soaring While Rudy Is Sinking

Hillary Clinton must be “hating” big time today over the Obama/Oprah weekend as they drew a reported 29 thousand plus supporters, well wishers, campaign contributors and potential voters to the William Bryce Football Stadium in Columbia South Carolina.

While they did not fill the 80 thousand seat facility, the event was impressive to say the least. The obvious boost Oprah Winfrey gave the Obama campaign has to have a net negative effect on the Clinton camp as Hillary had a relatively sedate event by comparison, campaigning with her mother and daughter Chelsea in Iowa. Let me see now, who would I like to endorse my efforts for the presidency; Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Tom Brady, or my father? Yo, sorry dad, but I am sure you understand!

We would have loved to have been a fly on the wall to hear the reactions from the Clinton camp when they heard that Oprah was throwing her considerably weight behind Obama; no pun intended. His event, highlighting his wife, Winfrey and himself to give the crowd a blast of inspirational, forward looking, new beginnings speeches while leaving the old failing guard to history in rebel rousing fashion had to have unnerved the Clinton crew to no end. The clear winner for this weekend among the Democrat hopefuls was Barack Obama, as he is gathering quite a bit of steam heading toward the opening round of primary elections.

On the Republican side of the fight for the White House, Mike Huckabee is beginning to prove the experts wrong as he too had an outstanding weekend answering questions regarding his stance on the Aids epidemic that had the entire nation in fear during the early nineties. Now that he is establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with, the knives are being sharpened by his opponents to cut him back down to sizable bites. But, it ain’t working, because he is taking on his critics with the honesty is the best approach style and not backing down or flip flopping ala Mitt Romney.

If one cares to revisit the time when Aids first came on the seen, when treatment was still being sought, cures was and still is a dream, one will remember when Magic Johnson announced he had contracted the virus, a lot of big named players refused to step on the court with him. One would be wise to remember a kid named Ryan White that was almost ran out of his small town on a rail by fear stricken neighbors that felt the need to protect themselves and their children.

Huckabee took the questions head on and reminded the viewers what we as a nation new at that time and what we did not know about the virus as it seemed to pose a significant threat to the general population. His response was that of a public health crisis that had to be dealt with and there were too many questions and too few answers to handle it in any other way.

We think Mr. Huckabee handled himself well when challenged on the judgment issue regarding the murder/rape case that is just now beginning to gather attention. Huckabee is shaping up to be a candidate that will appeal to voters of the right that want change but not enough to go sp far as to vote for a woman or a minority.

On the other hand, the big loser this weekend on the Republican side was Rudy Giuliani as he failed to get past the tough questioning of Tim Russert’s Meet the Press talking head show. Trying to explain some of his questionable business associations, and conflicts of interest related thereto, his use of the NYPD as private security for his girlfriend while NYC taxpayers were protecting his wife at the same time, while delving into other uncomfortable issues; he came off as a tad bit slimy. And, if New York liberal leaning observers such as us got that impression, one can only imagine how he came across to voters in Iowa and New Hampshire. But then again, Rudy seems to putting all his chips on Florida and beyond.

We think that’s dangerous and foolhardy. But then again, maybe Rudy has no choice but to relax on the early primary states, considering he is dropping like a rock from the Empire State Building!
