Issues Under Fire: Obama Certified, But Questions Still Linger Amongst the Lame

After months of prodding, Donald Trump was successful in dragging the President of the United States into the gutter of race baiting politics. With all the skills of a street hustler, a second rate con artist or a third rate grifter, Donald “the sham man” Trump wasted little time folding, bending, spindling and mutilating his pitch to the marks.

The braggadocio extraordinaire approached a bank of microphones yesterday and did what comes naturally to any cheap, reality class, media whore of the 21st century-he sought confirmation of his personal “greatness” at the expense of his betters.

Unfortunately for “The Donald”, he found his lame-assed act was hardly ready for the Big Top and sadly never will be. For someone who fancies himself as a man of quality, this latest performance made it clear even to his audience, Trump will never achieve more than the garishness of quantity sought by commoners.

Suffering from diarrhea of the mouth, “Mr. Trump” has sent any slim chance of being nominated by the Republican Party to contest President Obama down the toilet. Hence, this has to be the shittiest way to be yanked off the stage.

Making matters worse, this most recent foray into the subliminal world of dog whistle politics merely resurrected the snide remarks whispered behind his back… What an Asshole! Trump’s a joke but he fills airtime! Trump is over compensating for having a small penis!

But in the end, like any aging clown, after the makeup has been smeared from his grotesque persona we are left with little more than a pathetic curio providing comic relief before the real challenges must be confronted.

Tangled Destinies 1932

This is a film we can give five stars and two thumbs up for, as it is your classic b-movies whodunit, with all the usual suspect gathered together of the accusation showdown. An airliner makes a forced landing at night in the desert. The passengers and crew take refuge in a nearby deserted house. Soon some of the passengers are found murdered, and one of the passengers reveals himself to be a detective who was guarding one of the murdered passengers, who was carrying a bag of diamonds–which is now missing. The detective must find out which of the passengers is the killer.

Atomic Energy, A Force for Good 1955 (Or So They Say)

Japan declared a 12-mile evacuation zone around its tsunami-crippled nuclear power plant a no-go zone Thursday last, urging residents to abide by the order for the sake of their own safety. In this flick, we see a drama showing the reactions of citizens of a small town to the construction of a nuclear energy plant in their community, and their acceptance of the peaceful aspects of atomic energy. Had they heeded their basic instincts, we might not be facing three headed, not so fresh seafood platters in sushi bars tomorrow.

The Loin Tamer 1943

The Lion Tamer is a 1934 animated short film produced by the Van Beuren Studios and directed by Vernon Stallings and starring Charles J. Correll and Freeman F. Gosden as the voices of their popular radio characters, Amos 'n' Andy. It was one of two such films made that year, the other being The Rasslin' Match. These two shorts and the 1930 live-action film Check and Double Check constitute the only visual representations of Amos 'n' Andy prior to the advent of network television.

Check and Double Check 1930

Typical Amos ‘n Andy storyline has the boys trying to make a go of their “open-air” taxi business while they get caught up in a society hassle, involving driving musicians to a fancy party. All the regular characters are here (or mentioned), including the famous Mystic Knights of the Sea. The only film appearance of radio’s long-running characters. BTW, this title should not be confused with the Amos and Andy of the television series, as these are the White Amos and Andy characters. Still, the laughs are there if you keep an open mind.
